LIP PRODUCTS
I might be about two years late to this party, but I finally purchased a couple of the popular NYX Butter Glosses (in Eclair and Creme Brulee, £5.50 each). I love lip glosses in general so I'm quite easy to please, and these NYX ones are absolutely wonderful. They're not too sticky, the smell amazing (like a vanilla dessert) and the colour payoff is surprisingly good. I also had my first encounter (which ended up being a love affair!) with Charlotte Tilbury's lip products. This Lip Lustre gloss in Seduction (£16.50) is a beautiful nude that glides on like a dream, giving your lips a multidimensional, mirror-like finish. I will definitely be trying out more lippies from this range!
NAKED HEAT PALETTE
I was so excited to finally get my hands on this beauty! Urban Decay's Naked Heat eyeshadow palette (£39) has been getting so much love and praise in the blogosphere, and for a good reason - it is absolutely stunning! I will definitely do a more detailed review of this at some point and show you all the swatches, but the quality is absolutely top-notch and I'd recommend it especially if you are into vibrant, warm shades.
MASCARAS
Benefit's They're Real mascara (£17.40) was a complete fail of a purchase - I actually had a small version of this months ago, and completely forgot that I didn't actually like it! I mean, I even included it in the makeup I regret buying post, so I am not sure what I was thinking when purchasing it again! Either way, months later, this mascara is just as disappointing - whilst not a bad product, it just doesn't live up to the hype. It still gives your lashes nice length and definition, but I was definitely expecting a little more oomph.
I also picked up a couple of drugstore mascaras - Maybelline's Lash Sensational (£8.99) and L'Oreal's Baby Roll (£7.99). Both are pretty good especially for the price, but I think that I slightly prefer the Baby Roll one as it's waterproof and definitely gives your lashes more dramatic volume, which is what I'm all about!
FACE PRODUCTS
As for face products, I picked up Armani's Power Fabric foundation (£40), which is actually becoming my favourite foundation of all time. It's absolutely amazing for anyone with problematic skin, as it really gives you that smooth, flawless finish with good coverage (full review coming soon, as it deserves one!). I also bought Urban Decay's All Nighter oil-free setting spray (£23.50). I never cared much for setting sprays, but I decided to finally try one out after seeing countless beauty gurus use them. And oh my, I was not disappointed! This setting spray is a must-have for anyone with oily skin. It does an amazing job at keeping your makeup in place all day, and you won't need to keep applying powder or use blotting tissues. Definitely recommend adding this to your makeup routine!
