What's in my makeup bag?

Today I thought it would be interesting to talk about what's currently in my makeup bag. I love makeup, and I really enjoy trying out new products, but there are a few that I always end up going back to. Here's a list of my current makeup essentials and favourites, please let me know if you have any recommendations! =)

Foundation
Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion (£12.99)

This has been my go-to foundation since I was 16. Throughout the years, I have bought and tested countless amounts of different foundations, but nothing came close to being quite as good as Miracle Touch. I like it so much because it's affordable, long-lasting, and just the right consistency (it transforms from solid to liquid when applied). The coverage is really good and easily buildable, whilst feeling lightweight on skin. I will happily write a more detailed review if anyone's interested. =)

Powder
Soap & Glory - One Heck of a Blot mattifyng powder (£12)

My skin is extremely oily, and I believe I am still to find my perfect mattifyng powder, but this one is good enough and I don't need to re-apply it too often. It blots away shine without looking cakey, and doesn't 'interfere' with your makeup. I would still like to find something better, so please, share any suggestions you may have!

Mascara
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel (black) (£25)

This is the best mascara ever, hands down. I will do a more detailed review of it at some point (it deserves one!), but I could literally write songs about this one. It makes your lashes look thick, long, and very black. You can layer it like mad and you will never get any clumps - just beautiful, full, thick-looking lashes. Please give this one a try if you haven't yet - you won't be disappointed. After discovering Le Volume, I'm not even interested in testing any other mascaras - I feel like I've found the best one there is.

Blush
Soap & Glory Love at First Blush (£11)

I'm not too big on blush, but I like using this one when I need my face to look a little more 'fresh'. This is a lovely, multi-shade, shimmery blush. It gives my cheeks a nice, healthy glow, and is very easy to apply.

Eyeliner
No7 Stay Precise Liquid Eyeliner (black) (£7.50)

Another one of my go-to products, which has been consistently present in my makeup bag for many years. This eyeliner is great - the brush is really good, and allows for a precise and even application (perfect for you cat-eye makeup). It's completely smudge-proof and lasts all day.

Lips
Dior Addict Lip Gloss in Princess (£22.50)

This is another one of my 'holy grail' products that I just couldn't live without. Dior Addict is everything I could wish for when it comes to lip glosses. The texture is just perfect - smooth, lightweight and completely non-sticky. I absolutely love this shade, and it has a tiny amount of glitter in it, too, which looks wonderful on the lips. I also have the 'Iconic Red' shade, which is a stunning, sheer, classic red. This is a little more on the expensive side, but definitely worth the price. I highly recommend it!

Primer
Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer (£6.99)

Honestly, I think the best primer of all time is Benefit's Porefessional, but this one by Rimmel is a really good, affordable alternative. I buy this all the time because it's so cheap, and definitely does the job. It smooths out your skin, and works well under makeup. This is great value for money.

Eyebrows
Soap & Glory Archery DIY brow bar (£12)

This product is amazing for eyebrow-filling amateurs such as myself. It's super easy to use, and gives a long-lasting, natural-looking finish. I have naturally black hair, and I find that the darkest shade is still dark enough for me.

I think that's about it! I also have large stash of eyeshadows that I just couldn't do without, but that's something I'm going to talk about another time. What's currently in your makeup bag? I love reading about other people's favourites and essentials, so go ahead and share! =) Next time I'm going to show you my nail polish collection, and talk about some of my favourites, so stay tuned!
