Favourite body butters

Body butters are among my all time favourite products. They are not only nourishing and moisturising to the skin - they also smell absolutely wonderful. A bit of a scented body butter with a matching perfume makes the fragrance more intense and long lasting. Today, I'm going to show you a few of my favourite body butters. Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts. =)

The Body Shop - Early Harvest Raspberry

Everyone knows The Body Shop for their famous body butters - they're amazing and offer a wide range of scents. Early Harvest Raspberry is one of my favourites - it's sweet, fruity and very natural-smelling. To my nose, it smells a little more like a creamy raspberry yoghurt rather than an actual raspberry fruit. The consistency is nice and thick, and it leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturized.

The Body Shop - Coconut

As a big fan of all things coconut, I couldn't help but add this one to my favourites list. This is a little less creamy in consistency, and more 'waxy' than the Early Harvest Raspberry butter, but just as fragrant and moisturising. It smells just like sweet, fresh coconuts, and I enjoy using it especially in the summer. This body butter works really well when layered with tropical, sweet fragrances such as Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess or most Jennifer Lopez scents.

Soap and Glory - The Righteous Butter

Out of all my body butters, this is probably the most 'effective' one. I like the scent, but it is quite subtle (meaning that it won't interfere with any perfume you might want to wear on top of it). The Righteous Butter smells sweet and fresh, with a hint of lemon. I reach for this one whenever my skin is in dire need of some serious moisturising, and it always does the job. The consistency is very silky and luxurious, and it leaves the skin feeling wonderfully smooth and nourished.

Boots Extracts - Luscious Vanilla

This one satisfies my craving for a real, rich, natural-smelling vanilla butter. The Body Shop offers a few similar ones, but sadly, they have long discontinued their original vanilla range (they currently sell 'Spiced Vanilla' and 'Vanilla Bliss'). Luscious Vanilla is utterly delicious, and smells just like real vanilla ice cream. It's not as thick in consistency as most other butters, but it's still  moisturising and smells just wonderful.

Perfecta SPA - Chocolate Truffles

I absolutely adore this range. They offer many yummy, unusual body butter scents, including ice-cream, pina colada and apple pie. Chocolate Truffles smells just like a delicious, rich, calorific chocolate dessert. You'll find it hard not to try and eat it! This one is made by a popular Polish brand, and you can purchase it at m-shop.eu.

Green Pharmacy - Tea Tree and Green Clay

Another one of my favourite brands. They are relatively small, but offer some amazing products. This body butter is both moisturising and firming the skin, and it smells wonderful. The scent is quite subtle, sweet and refreshing. It reminds me of freshly brewed green tea. I highly recommend checking out this brand - I will happily write a more detailed review of their products of anyone's interested. =)
